Structure of the course
This course is offered at Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2. At each level the learners will learn about:
Each component, at each level, consists of one unit which is assessed by means of a unit test.
I. Entry Level
The entry level is sub-divided into Entry 1, Entry 2 and Entry 3. Learners must handling data, numbers, shape and space at each entry sub-level to obtain the full entry level Certificate in Adult Numeracy.
Entry Level 1
The Entry level 1 is made up of 5 units covering numbers, handling data, measures, shape and space

Unit 2: In the town centre
Unit 3: A busy life!

Unit 5: A load of rubbish
Entry Level 2
The Entry level 2 is made up of 5 units covering numbers, handling data, measures, shape and space.
Unit 1: Playing with numbers

Unit 3: Right on time
Unit 4: Allotments, gardens and garden centres
Unit 5: Working in a garage
Entry Level 3
The Entry level 3 is made up of 5 units covering numbers, handling data, measures, shape and space

II. Level 1
The Level 1 is made up of 6 units covering numbers, handling data, measures, shape and space. Learners must handling data, numbers, shape and space to obtain the Level 1 Certificate in Adult Numeracy.

III. Level 2
The Level 2 is made up of 6 units covering numbers, handling data, measures, shape and space. Learners must handling data, numbers, shape and space to obtain the Level 1 Certificate in Adult Numeracy.

Assessment
All learners will:
Progression
Learners who successfully complete the adult numeracy certificate at Entry level will progress to Level 1, and subsequently Level 2. Learners may also progress onto a key skill programme, study for a GCSE, or other relevant qualifications.
