Welcome to the website of Central Birmingham College Education and Training. The Organization is located in the heart of the West Midlands, within easy reach of public transport and local amenities. Central Birmingham College Education is a generalist provider of education and training.

The Organization is a small, yet expanding educational and training institution that specialises in a number of community based initiatives. Each initiative comes under the organizations 'Pathway Community Projects'. Accreditation is through a number of awarding bodies, Edexcel, OCR, NCFE and ICM.

We run a number of full-time courses: Getting into Employment, Health and Social Care, Nursing, Law, Psychology, to generalist short and part-time related studies in: Health and Safety at Work, Safer Moving and Handling, Drug Awareness, Test for British Citizenship, IELTS preparation and ESOL.

The Organization also runs a Community based project [CBC Drug and Crime], which works with a number of Schools within the West Midlands, helping to deliver parts of the Law based Citizenship Programme and to raise awareness of crime, drugs - including alcohol and the social and psychological aspects to usage. .

In 2010, the Organization intends to move to new premises and this move will transform the Organization into a more specialised and ground-breaking educational and training institution. For example, the Organization will deliver education and training from a number of ground-breaking initiatives. This includes: 'The Central Birmingham College (CBC) Pathway Educational Studies', the 'Pathway to Drama, Music and Performing Arts', the 'Pathway to Languages, Life Skills & Employment', the 'Pathway Community Project (incorporating the CBC Drug and Crime Project') the 'Pathway Career Advice Services' and the Mentorship in the Community Project.

We also intend to radicalise Learning and Training opportunities by introducing the 7 days a week flexible learning and training programmes, along with the flagship CBC 'Weekend' Learners Initiative, that brings greater access to career, greater access to training and greater access to skill development. Additionally, we intend to focus a greater part of our training programmes on getting YOUNG people into work by introducing the CBC Young Persons Employer Based Placement Initiative - which enables employers to take on a young unemployed person for 6 months - giving the young person more hands on work experience and greater opportunities to obtain gainful employment.

Our aims remains central, to revolutionise the way in which educational and training opportunities are delivered in the 21st Century - greater choice, greater flexibility and ground-breaking.

'Building Community Pillars - Forward thinking and Pioneering - Innovating Change in Education and Training'

We welcome applicants from all sections of the Community to come and join us to enable us to make that change. The organization operates as a non profit organization.
