1. Fees for
the academic year are as set out in the Fee Schedule.
2. Payment by crossed cheque, money order or bank draft is to
be made in favour of Central Birmingham College.
3. Fees paid are subject to the following conditions; except where
written notice is received by the College. Under
these circumstances, the amount of fees refundable is subject
to the following:
a. If a student withdraws from the programme before the commencement
of the semester, course fees are refundable, less an administration charge of £375.00. For example, Visa refusal etc. In all cases, the student must do so in writing.
b. If a student withdraws from the programme after the commencement of the semester, fees paid are not refundable.
c. We reserve the right to charge £100 non-refundable Registration fee to process all overseas applications 4.Course fee flexible repayments. Agreements for flexible fee payments must be made on the date agreed. If the student breaches such agreement, an
administrative charge of £50.00 per week will be imposed if payment is not
received by the specified due date. The student will be suspended
from the College if payment is not made by the end of the third
week of the semester
5. An administrative charge of £200.00 will be imposed for
inter-programme transfer except when the transfer is carried out
before the semester commences. The amount of fees transferable
to the new program is subject to the following:
a. If inter-programme transfer is carried out within the first
month of the semester, all fees paid are transferable to the new
programme.
b. If inter-programme transfer is carried out after the first
month of semester but before the mid-semester break, only pro-rated
tuition fees and 50% of all the other miscellaneous fee will be
transferable to the new programme.
c. If inter-programme transfer is carried out after the mid-semester
or after the completion of a semester, only the enrolment fee,
are transferable to the new programme.
6. In
the event that the College cannot accept a student for enrolment,
all fees paid minus admin costs will be refunded in full. Refunds will be to the person paying the fees.
7. Failure to meet the term of this agreement may mean withdrawal from the course. Further, late payment will incur an automatic penalty of £150. * Withdrawal from the course will incur an automatic administration charge of £375. The College reserves the right to charge full course fee where a student withdraws from his or her course without prior notification.
8. Students must abide by all academic, administrative and examination
rules and regulations and policies of the College. All courses and term dates are subject to change. The College manual is available to all students in which contains details of college rules and regulations.
9. The College reserves the right to use your personal information
in order to carry out its responsibilities in your personal and/or
academic interests as a student of the College. The scope of usage
of this information may include the publishing of good examination
results, the award of a prize or scholarship, any achievement,
academic or otherwise, and the access to your information by the
Central Birmingham College's Alumni Association.
10. All money refundable under the conditions hereof shall be
claimed within 6 (six) months from the date I
ceases to be a student of the College. Refunds are usually paid within 6 months.
11. For progression, the following applies:
The completion of a Pre-University/Diploma/Foundation Programme
at Central Birmingham College does not give the student automatic
admission to a university. Admission is determined by the student's
performance and the university's entry requirements.
12. The terms and conditions stated in the paper application form
shall take precedence if they be in conflict with terms 1-11 above.
13. This
agreement is governed by English law and you hereby submit to
the exclusive jurisdiction of an independent arbitrator should any
dispute arise.
